Applied Marine Sciences, Inc. (AMS) provides high-resolution seabed imaging and mapping services using state-of-the-art high-resolution CHIRP digital subbottom profiling and side scan sonar technology. Geophysical surveys are digitally planned, acquired and post-processed using EdgeTech Discoverer or SonarWizMap. The use of specialized software applications allows us to develop highly accurate and detailed maps of the thickness and distribution of different sediments, seafloor bottom roughness, backscatter intensity, and acoustic targets. AMS also uses Roxann and Geotexture to acoustically identify and classify seafloor sediments. AMS deploys the latest high-resolution Cesium Vapor marine magnetometers that have higher sensitivity to detect submerged ferrous objects. We use MagPick software to acquire and process data and to generate magnetic anomaly maps. Typical geophysical survey applications:
