Established in 1994, Applied Marine Sciences, Inc. (AMS) is a woman-owned small business located in the greater Houston metropolitan area. AMS provides field, laboratory and consulting services in support of environmental and engineering projects along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts. AMS specializes in hydrographic and geophysical surveys, geotechnical investigations, coastal data acquisition, and marine environmental monitoring services. Our clients include engineering and environmental consultants, port authorities, regulatory agencies, and industrial clients.
To meet the needs of our clients, AMS staff utilizes the latest software and instrumentation to produce cost-effective and scientifically-defensible solutions in the field and laboratory. Field operations are supported with a well-maintained inventory of trucks, vessels, and field equipment. AMS laboratory is accredited by the State of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the U.S. EPA National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Commission.
